Air Chair Inflation Guide
Transform your home or office into a
Movement Rich Environment
We care most of all about the epidemic of sedentarism that afflicts knowledge-workers across the world. If you have come to realize there are no shortcuts in life and your back is still hurting despite spending $$$$ on a fancy office chair claiming it had the best ergonomics, then you are ready for your journey of self improvement. Gravity exists even when we aren't thinking about it!
Consider the notion you can redefine what a healthy home or office looks like and begin your daily practice of multiple postures, 1-5 minute movement snacks, and prove to yourself you can improve and strengthen your body with the right inspiration and prompting from your very own "Movement Rich Environment."
4 Foundation Postures
for daily life
Floor sitting
Flex your hips, knees, and ankles, and learn the important skill of getting up from the ground without using your hands. Excellent for basic activities like reading, folding laundry, or conversing.
Task sitting
When engrossed in complex tasks that require your full focus and concentration sitting with your hips above your knees is optimal. Change up your leg positions or try balancing to stay alert.
Standing
Sitting all day leaves you feeling stagnant. Stand while taking calls, dance for a couple minutes between task sessions, or incorporate a sit stand desk for easy transitions between postures.
Walking
Walking is the secret shortcut to peak fitness. Spend an hour a day walking 365 days a year and your legs and posture will be strong and supple like a tree!
We are like fish swimming in an endless river of gravity asking, “What’s water?”
Avoid the cumulative effects of weakened posture caused by sedentarism and constant “support” by incorporating these 4 foundation postures into your daily habits. Read the blog below for inspiration and guidance.
Archery foundations in
Venn’s passion for balance
1,000,000+ lifetime arrows shot
Archery is a two-handed sport. To fire an arrow with precision takes achieving a balance of power and direction with the left hand and right hand simultaneously. Creating the structure inside your body to make this power is similar to balancing a pencil on its tip, except the force of the bow trying to collapse you is ~50 lbs (22 kg).
Symmetric, ambidextrous focused right-handed and left-handed training helps the body learn the required power and coordination that optimizes an archer’s physiological structure for full-draw alignment and balance. When you release a well-balanced shot, the feeling is powerful, directed, balanced, and pure. When a shot is plucked, rushed, or the balance is lost, the equal-opposite physics you feel immediately is awkward, off-balance, and uncoordinated. It is never a surprise where the arrow goes; you can feel it long before the arrow hits the target. And then, the result is on the target, and you are always the cause. Archery is a practice in honesty.
With 1,000,000+ arrows and counting, Venn Design Founder Tyler Benner continues to love the challenge of firing arrows with precision and balance. It is this passion for balance that led Tyler to create the Air Chair, as he wanted to realize the benefits of incorporating more balance and stabilization in everyday life to the athlete goal of building a powerful, balanced, and skillful body.
