Transform your home or office into a
Movement Rich Environment
We care most of all about the epidemic of sedentarism that afflicts knowledge-workers across the world. If you have come to realize there are no shortcuts in life and your back is still hurting despite spending $$$$ on a fancy office chair claiming it had the best ergonomics, then you are ready for your journey of self improvement. Gravity exists even when we aren't thinking about it!
Consider the notion you can redefine what a healthy home or office looks like and begin your daily practice of multiple postures, 1-5 minute movement snacks, and prove to yourself you can improve and strengthen your body with the right inspiration and prompting from your very own "Movement Rich Environment."
If You Change the Way You Look At Things, The Things you Look At Change
I bought an expensive “executive chair” and followed their directions exactly, but my back still hurt after long days at the computer. Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results so I thought, ‘Why not try this active sitting, movement snacks, and multiple posture stuff?’ Proof is in the pudding: I never get sleepy at work anymore, my productivity is up, and I have more energy for my hobbies in the evening now too.
Sitting in chairs all day every day for years is not a good way to keep your spine and hips healthy. When you don’t have traditional furniture you change position often, moving SO many more parts in your body than you would in a chair. This keeps things limber and strong, from your head to your toes. The answer for our family? the Air Chair: oh how we love these, and oh how much movement they bring to our life. You can’t help but roll around on it.
In a post-pandemic world, many are finding themselves moving less than they were a year ago. We’re inside more, we’re on screens more and we’re moving less. This is a huge problem given that movement might be one of the most proactive, preventive measures we could be taking when it comes to keeping our bodies and families well.
This is not your average chair - it's a stability ball that requires you to engage your muscles to maintain balance, which can help you build strength in your core and back muscles! Bonus, it promotes good posture! You'll be moving around more often while you work, improving circulation, reducing stiffness, and helping to prevent back pain.
We’re Built Tougher Than the Others
It’s what’s inside that counts, and in every Venn product, we only use the highest-grade materials, cut, sewn, and assembled by skilled craftspeople, and built to withstand whatever life sends your way.

FAQ
Large Air Cushions are BLUE. Small Air Cushions are CORAL. Customers report being often surprised by how much the Air Cushions stretch, especially upon first inflation. Please notice the critical valve / zipper alignment in the inflation guide video linked here. This is required regardless of what pump is used. When you finish inflating, you should only have to close the zipper 2-3 inches. If you attempt to close the full length zipper against high pressure, it is likely to tear the fabric or stitching.
A spoon is the best tool for removing the plug. A suggestion with the hand pump is to not push all the way to the very end of range of the pump. Try to keep the pumping action in the 20-80% range of the pump’s total travel and it should not get stuck. When your arm needs a break, cover the back of the pump to prevent air leaking out while you catch a breather.
When you inflate too much, you won’t hurt the upholstery cover, and it will become so hard when you sit down it will feel uncomfortable. Watch the inflation video up above demonstrating inflating until the ball fully fills the upholstery and then testing it with body weight before inserting the plug. If you inflate too much and it becomes uncomfortable when you sit down, well, that’s pretty easy to let out some air. =)
This will depend on your body size and how you intend to use the chair. Both the large and small size Air Chairs are easily customizable for different heights. Simply inflate the chair more for a higher seat, and release air through the valve for a seat that’s lower to the floor.
The large (65cm diameter) is a “task chair” intended for upright sitting at a standard height desk. Generally, we recommend the large size for people with a height of 5’1 and greater.
The small (55cm diameter) is a “lounge chair” that sits at sofa height. It is excellent for exercises and stretches because it keeps you lower to ground with more stability nearby. We also recommend the small for “lounging” at a coffee table, or to rest your legs on while you’re sitting on a sofa/armchair. For desk work, we highly recommend the small size for children and adults under 5’1. Small children love the small size!
Both the small and large size will work well as a “fitball” you can stretch out on or use as a prop during strength exercises.

At Venn, we’re especially waste conscious and have gone to great pains to size everything appropriately so we use every scrap of fabric and material possible. For instance, in the Sitting Cushions, we use Pendleton Wool trimmings from their mill ends as part of our stuffing and filler (otherwise a throw-away for them). And what scrap fabric we do produce is chopped up and recycled with our fabric suppliers.
Whenever possible, we source materials from suppliers who are as close as possible to our Dallas, TX, facility so we don’t waste needlessly on shipping large rolls of foam across the country. Efficient supply chain logistics and Made In America by skilled craftspeople and sewers means you get top quality and craftsmanship and you bolster local economies.
